RYANNE STELLINGWERF, MS, LCPC

TRAUMA-INFORMED COACH FOR FEMALE FIRST RESPONDERS

Ryanne Stellingwerf is a licensed psychotherapist and trauma-informed coach based in Montana, serving female first responders, military women, and veterans nationwide. She is the founder of Discover Solutions and the creator of the Armor & Grace program — a six-week skill-building program built exclusively for high-performing women in law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, and the military who are still good at their jobs and quietly losing ground everywhere else.

Her work sits at the intersection of clinical depth and field experience. She completed most of her Master's degree while working in Iraq and Afghanistan as a civilian military contractor —an experience that shaped both her understanding of what sustained high-alert does to a person and her conviction that women in high-stress roles deserve support before they reach crisis, not after.

SPECIALIZATION

Ryanne specializes in conditioned vigilance—the trained, survival-based alertness that persists off-shift and erodes health, relationships, and quality of life. Through Armor & Grace, she teaches the skills that professional training never includes: how to shift out of high-alert mode, how to recover fully between shifts, and how to retrain the neural pathways that keep high-performing women stuck in a single operating mode long after the job demands it.

Her approach is skills-based and practical. She works with women who are functioning and want to function better — building capability, not cataloguing what went wrong.

WHO RYANNE WORKS BEST WITH

High-performing women in first responder and military roles who are still showing up at work and losing ground everywhere else. Women who want tools, not sympathy. Women who are skeptical of anything that feels soft or clinical and are ready to do the actual work. Women who have tried handling this on their own -- and are good at that too, which is part of why they're still stuck.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Ryanne's work is direct, practical, and built around your actual life. You won't be asked to rehash what you've seen on the job or explain your field to someone who's never been near it. Sessions focus on building specific, usable skills -- the kind that work in the truck, the locker room, and the driveway, not just in a therapy room.

The self-guided Armor & Grace program is available to start immediately at discoversolutions.net. One-on-one coaching with Ryanne includes private sessions and her full range of clinical tools and experience. If you have questions before committing to either, the contact page is the fastest way to reach her.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does Ryanne work with first responders outside Montana?

Yes. Discover Solutions serves female first responders nationwide through the Armor & Grace program and one-on-one coaching.

Do I have to talk about specific incidents from my job to work with Ryanne?

In one-on-one coaching, sessions focus on your nervous system's current responses and the skills that change them. You control what you share and what you keep. Many clients have done significant work without disclosing details of specific incidents.

What's the difference between working with Ryanne as a therapist versus as a coach?

Ryanne's therapy practice, Solutions Counseling, provides clinical mental health treatment to Montana residents. Discover Solutions and Armor & Grace are coaching -- skills-based, forward-looking, and available nationwide. No diagnosis, no medical record, no insurance involvement.
